My job is – and has always been – to soak in culture, hack it, reinterpret it, use it as fuel. To inspire creative teams to think imaginatively and innovatively for the clients while inspiring my clients to think imaginatively and innovatively about their brands. I straight-up love both sides of it. For me, it’s best when we’re doing that imaginative, innovative thinking in all our favorite -al’s: digital, experiential, social, traditional. Because yet another thing I love about what I do is telling a story across multiple touchpoints.
I’ve spent the last couple of years blurring the line between branding and selling by delivering unique creative solutions that help brands like Mars-Wrigley and Band-Aid connect and engage with consumers and shoppers. Before that, I was leading teams across multiple national offices in the development of dynamic digital experiences and engaging email and social campaigns for one of the biggest brands on earth, Samsung. I’ve also helped create the first-ever national cause marketing campaign for the Girl Scouts of the USA and provoked the wrath of then New York City Mayor Bloomberg as one of the masterminds behind Trojan’s Pleasure Cart experience. The list goes on, of course.
While it’s mostly about creative for me, it’s not only about creative. I pride myself in being both a creative and office leader. I currently co-lead the NYC office of a global agency.
Before and between my years as a creative, I also tried my hand at semi-listenable indie rock, DJing, managing bands and selling vintage clothing. Today, I moonlight as the co-creator/producer of the forthcoming The Songs That Saved Your Life, a Sony Music Original. I’m drawn to noble causes and love a good Seinfeld quote, Smiths sing-along and soccer match.
